This course is designed to give exercise professionals the knowledge they need to work confidently with clients or class participants suffering from low bone density.

The course includes the physiology of osteoporosis and its symptoms and risk factors. It covers how osteoporosis is screened for and treated, and explains the importance of appropriate exercise interventions. This provides students with practical programming examples and a clear understanding of what should and shouldn’t be included in an exercise programme for someone with osteoporosis.

On completion of this course, students will have a good understanding of the physiology of osteoporosis and how to programme for it.
