  • Understand the effect of the different carbohydrates on blood glucose control.
  • Know how a low-carbohydrate diet is classified.
  • Have a clear understanding of the research behind low-carb diets and weight-loss effects and implications.
  • Be able to discuss the pros and cons of following a low-carb diet for weight loss.
  • Have a clear understanding of the impact of low-carb diets on type 2 diabetes management, lipid levels and other metabolic health parameters.
  • Have a general understanding of personalised nutrition and its application.
  • Be familiar with what a balanced diet for optimal health looks like.
